To ensure that your booking and your stay with us goes as smoothly as possible, the following Terms and Conditions will apply:
- A deposit of 20% will secure your booking.
- The balance of payment is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival.
- A refundable security deposit of £150 is payable to cover any undue breakages or damage to the property during your stay. This will be refunded within 7 days of your departure.
- Check-in time is 4pm; Check-out time is 10am.
- Smoking is not permitted within the property. If, on departure, a deep clean of fabrics is required due to smoking in the property, a cleaning charge of £100 will be made.
- Pets are not permitted within the property.
- You must look after the accommodation during your stay and the property should be left clean on departure otherwise an excess cleaning fee of £50 will apply.
- We ask that you notify us as soon as possible of any significant fault or problem so that we can take swift action to ensure that it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of your stay
- A charge will be made for any breakages/damage/missing items.
- Charging electric/hybrid vehicles using cables extended from the Coach House domestic power supply is not permitted. Please ask us for the location of local charging points.
- Maximum occupancy is 2 adults (plus one baby/child).
- Adults should be over 18 years.
- You are responsible for the security of the property during your stay and must ensure that windows and doors are locked when you are out.
- The property has an unfenced burn (river) running through the garden - you remain responsible for the safety of any babies/children (guests or visitors) in your care when in the garden.
- Cancellation by you: If you cancel your stay we will do our very best to resell those dates. If we do, you will be refunded all payments made to us by you. If we are unable to resell those dates you will forfeit your deposit (if more than 4 weeks before your stay), or full payment (if less than 4 weeks before you stay). Your security deposit will be refunded in all cases.
- Curtailment by you: If you need to curtail your stay after full payment is made (within 4 weeks of arrival), we will do our very best to re-sell those dates. If we are successful in this, you will be refunded for the nights no longer required. If we are unable to re-sell those dates, you will be liable for full payment, as if you had stayed for all dates booked.
- Cancellation/curtailment by us: If we need to cancel/curtail your stay for any reason - for example, serious accident or illness; damage to the property by house fire, Act of God or other force majeure; or refusal of the council to grant a short term licence - we cannot be held liable for losses that you incur as a result of this cancellation. We will refund you in full and do our best to help you find suitable alternative accommodation. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible of the cancellation/curtailment.
- Covid - we will follow all guidance/legislation from the Scottish/UK Government.
- Scottish Short Term Let Licensing Scheme:: The Scottish Government has introduced a requirement for all self catering accommodation to be licensed. As an existing operator we had until 1 October 2023 to apply and we applied before this deadline (reference: 230821-000378) - the local council having a further 12 months to review our application and decide to grant our licence. Coach House @ The Glen complies with all of the requirements required to grant a licence, has operated for 10 years and, as such, we are confident our licence will be granted. However we are required to notify potential guests that, like all other self catering and B&B properties in Scotland, should our licence not be granted we would need to cease trading and cancel bookings. Should this occur all monies paid would be refunded in full and our liability is limited to monies paid to us.
Please ensure that you have travel insurance which covers you if you have to cancel or curtail your stay for any reason (including Covid).
